JIC STARCUBE is an international accelerator focused on the Internet of Things and ICT security. We are looking for innovative startups with clearly defined and market-validated ideas. We will provide 3 months of business workshops together with experienced mentors. We offer 24/7 coworking space and free prototyping facilities. Participants can also receive services from our partners as well as access to their network of business contacts. JIC STARCUBE is free of charge.
JIC STARCUBE is held in the South Moravian region in the Czech Republic where high education, top class science and big business players meet. You can find 6 public universities, 26 public research centers and branches of large multinational companies like Honeywell, RedHat, Flextronics, NetSuite, AVG and FEI here. Many of them are located a short walk from JIC offices.
Mentoring is a key service of JIC STARCUBE. Internal consultants with business experience from startups, as well as from the corporate environment, are always available for you. For specialized consultancy more than 80 external mentors from all over the world are available. They offer help with business strategy, financial development, production, sales and marketing.
Participants have access to in-house prototyping facilities and external prototyping equipment from our partners and university research centres. Many external facilities are located within a short walking distance in the Czech Technology Park. Do you need help with software testing or constructing hardware? Ask our prototyping specialists.
We provide free coworking space which is available 24/7. The coworking space offers work environment, meeting zone and relaxation zone. You can also use other services like printing, copying and renting a meeting room.
Thanks to our JIC INVEST seed fund we may provide smart money in exchange for a share in your company. The amount of investment and the percentage of share is tailored. JIC STARCUBE cooperates with Czech and foreign angel investors, seed and venture funds and corporate sector funds. Our financial specialists can help you obtain funding for your R&D project from European programmes.
Thanks to the support of the South Moravian Region, City of Brno, our corporate partners and our startup alumni it is possible we can also help you to cover your basic expenses such as flight tickets and accommodation in Brno, so you can concentrate on building your business.

It helps to save millions of lives during natural disasters and daily accidents all over the world. Thanks to GINA, firemen arrive faster to every 3rd incident. Last year GINA initiated close cooperation with the UN.
Skypicker is a flight tickets booking site focused on destinations where direct low-cost flights are not available and regular airline tickets are still very expensive. The startup is growing rapidly – from a 10 million turnover in 2013 to an estimated turnover 120 million in 2014. Skypicker is planning to become the number one site for selling low-cost flight tickets next year.
Braci is a unique platform that detects sounds in the environment, transforms those sounds into visual and sensory alerts and delivers them to any smart device specified by user. The Smart Ear product is tailored for deaf or elderly people. The Braci startup has already raised more than 130 000 € from various investors and won several awards including the Slush Award.
HansureTM by Observe Design is a smart wearable device which simplifies the hand hygiene process in hospitals by monitoring healthcare workers and sanitizing their hands automatically. It helps to decrease the number of deaths caused by Hospital Associated Infections (HAIs). The Observe Design startup was accepted by the Microsoft Ventures Accelerator programme in Israel this year.
